Tiny French Bulldog Bravely Protects her Property From Bears

Mark Twain said it best: “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” But who would have guessed the old saying could apply to a 20-pound french bulldog named Jewels?
The little pooch, which obviously takes its guard dog role very seriously, had recently spotted a couple of unwelcome guests on its California property: two 100-pound bears, the Huffington Post reports.
Security cameras had spotted the bears as they wandered around the property, but little did they know they’d soon be escorted off the lot by the tinniest of enemies.
The security footage shows Jewels fearlessly charging towards the bears, one of which leaping over the fence as it scurries off of the property.
Homeowner David Hernandez said, after the incident, he couldn’t believe what he had seen.
“It blew me away. She turned into a wolverine,” Hernandez shared.
Hernandez said he had recently added the cameras as a way to keep an eye on the bears that had been damaging his property.
Perhaps the bears will be coming around less often, now that they know there’s a tiny guard on duty.
