Woman With Rare Syndrome... Once Called Ugliest Woman in the World...Encourages a Positive World

Lizzie Valasquez launches a kickstarter campaign to raise money to fund a documentary about her mission to encourage a positive world.
Is western society becoming more and more insensitive?  Are we cruel; have we no more compassion?  Have we been brainwashed by the media? It seems it's more and more common to label ill or physically challenged people "ugly" and make fun of them.
One of the most recent examples -  Shaq making fun of a man who was obviously ill.And where is the public outrage? Where are public protests?

Suppose Shaq made fun of a gay man's mannerisms or lifestyle - he would be inundated with  "homophobic" accusations. Shaq's reputation would be shredded by the media and he would be  chastised by the public.
If a public figure made fun of an ethnic "minority" - we would never hear the end of racist accusations.
It seems that certain kinds of bullying and ridicule are accepted. It's time we took a stand against it and stood up for those who are  too young or ill equipped to defend themselves. This young lady, Lizzie,  is the exception; she can take care of herself and wants to change people's attitudes. She is courageous and outspoken and quite wonderful.
