Photos: Prince George plays with other babies as his first official engagement

The first official engagement for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in New Zealand is officially underway, and it's a fun one! On Wednesday afternoon (Tuesday evening here in New York), Kate and William brought baby George to a casual engagement with other first-time parents and their young babies. So for Prince George's first engagement he gets to play with some very lucky little ones!

The playgroup took place at The Government House in Wellington, where the family will stay for the remainder of their time in New Zealand. The event was hosted by Plunket, or more formally The Royal New Zealand Plunket Society, which is a non-profit organization in support of mothers and babies across New Zealand.
Considering how wiggly the little Prince was while Kate carried him across the tarmac, it was bound to be an eventful and fun afternoon for everyone there. For the meet-and-greet, Kate wore a black and white geometric-patterned dress by Tory Burch, while George was dressed in a white top and navy blue overalls from Rachel Riley. You can snatch up Kate's dress for $450 at Net-a-Porter, (nope, sorry -- now sold out!) and George's Sailboat Smocked Sailboat Dungarees retail for £75.00 (around $129.00). We expect neither will last long!

Prince George has been described as a bit of a "bruiser," even making one little one cry when he took her wooden doll! But come on, babies will be babies. Funny enough, George had the same thing happen shortly after as another baby snatched a toy away from him, "stopping him in his tracks." The teething Prince spent some time chewing on mom's famous hair and seemed to have quite a fun afternoon.
