Easy to Make Christmas Gift....Felt iPod Cases

Supplies:
Felt...assorted colors
Embroidery Thread...Assorted colors

Directions:
1. Using your ipod as a guide, cut out two rectangles slightly larger than your ipod.  On one rectangle, cut a curve at the top (see pictures).  This will be the front piece.
2. Cut a rectangle in a contrasting color that is as wide as the others, but about an inch shorter.  Curve the top.  Stitch along the top curve with a simple whip stitch to the front piece.
3. (optional) add feather details on the tummy of the owl.  There are a few options here.
4. Cut out two wing shapes.  Stitch to the top rectangle with a whip stitch.
5.  Cut out diamond shaped nose and eyes (larger white circles and smaller black circles).  Stitch.
6. Whip stitch all the way around the outside, attaching the front and the back.  Stitch also around the top, front and back.
7. Insert ipod and head out!

Make a couple in different colors for a friend or daughter and she will be delighted to get a handcrafted gift made especially for her.
