The Bucket List of Alice Pyne

Fifteen-year-old Alice Pyne’s bucket list raises cancer awareness

Alice listed seeing a performance of the group 'Take That',and hopefully meeting them, on her Bucket List.
Alice Pyne, of Ulverston, England, knows that she's dying. The 15-year-old girl was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma four years ago.  She wrote on her blog, "I know that the cancer is gaining on me and it doesn't look like I'm going to win this one."
Her blog, Alice's Bucket List, lists the things she wants to do before she dies. The list includes swimming with sharks, meeting Take That and "going to Cadbury World and eating loads of chocolate."
Most notable is the first thing on her list: "to make everyone sign up to be a bone marrow donor."
Her blog went viral. Soon the hashtag #alicebucketlist was trending on Twitter, with celebrities — Johnny Depp asked for the hashtag to continue trending to be his birthday gift — and strangers alike rallying their support, many of them encouraging bone-marrow donation on Alice's behalf.
Her MP, John Woodcock, even shared Alice's dream with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
"After four years, 15-year-old Alice Pyne in my constituency is losing her battle against cancer. At the top of [her wish] list is a call to make everyone sign up to be a bone marrow donor, so will he work with the leader of the opposition and I to address why too few people are currently on this life-saving register?"
Cameron said he "will certainly do that."
Alice's blog supporters donated over £10,000 — more than $15,800 — for cancer research in just one day, after Alice wrote that her sister is raising funds to participate in the Race for Life.
"I feel so good that with your help we are getting more people on the bone marrow donor list AND now we're putting money into supporting cancer research. Happy happy happy," she wrote.
Other dreams are coming true, too. This weekend, Alice will be seeing Take That perform.
